Lotharella  K. Ishida & Y. Hara  1996.  5 of 7 species descriptions are currently accepted taxonomically (Guiry and Guiry 2016).

Order Chlorarachniales (Chlorachniida), Family Chlorarachniaceae

Morphology:

The life cycle of LEX01 strain included four cell types by light microscopy: naked amoeboid, walled amoeboid, walled coccoid, and flagellate cells (Hirakawa et al. 2011).
