Classification:

Order Mischococcales, Family Centritractaceae (Parker 1982) or Sciadaceae (Ling and Tyler 2000)

Morphology:

Cylindrical with varying length, and containing an elongate spine at each end.  Two overlapping wall halves.  Two or more parietal or reticulate chloroplasts.
