Cyanidium caldarium

TEM cross section (x40,000) demonstrating eucaryotic nature of the cell, with nucleus (n), chloroplasts (c), mitochondria (m), and vacuoles (v). A relatively thick wall (w) is also apparent (Mercer, Boborad and Mullens 1962).
